Bay County Military History

The men and women that served in the military are family, neighbors and friends. Some of their lives ended in service, others survived to return to their community. Each has deserves recognition for responding to the call of duty.

Therefore, the sole purpose of this section is to remember who they are, where they served and what they did. You can help us do justice to all of they by sharing your knowledge, photos and memories about them.

The recorded war history for Bay County begins with the Civil War, the first conflict after becoming organized as a county in 1857. However, it's likely that some of early pioneers of our community may have served in the War of 1812.
