Organized 1899. Annual meeting in May. Annual dues associates $5, active $2; membership 30 active and 100 associates.

Begun as the woman's club for the study of history of art, with weekly meetings held in the lecture room at the Masonic Temple and a 40-minute paper or lecture. About 1910 exhibitions were undertaken and now there is an annual exhibition of oil paintings and the Club organized a yearly exhibit of public school work. The Club owns one picture, “Maine Coast,” by Frederick J. Waugh, many lantern slides.

Annual exhibition of oil paintings and yearly exhibits of public school work Jan. 21 to Feb. 4, 1916.

The Club owns one picture, “Main Coast,” by Frederick J. Waugh, and man lantern slides. Scheme of study, “Art in our Daily Living,” wiht sub-topics “Masters of Italian Renaissance” given as papers by active members.

Annual exhibition of oil paintings, and yearly exhibit of public school work, Jan. 21 to Feb. 4, 1916 exhibition of 27 oil paintings by American artists collected by Michigan Federation of Arts; Feb. 24 to March 7 – Arts and Crafts Exhibit by National Society of Craftsmen, consisting of jewelry, metal work, leather, carved wood pottery, testiles and china. Attendance 1,298 and 782.
