Historical Photos of Frankenmuth, MI

Sequence: Random - Thumb Nails: No

Frankenmuth has come along ways from a farming community to become one of the most popular tourist spots in Michigan. Located in neighboring Saginaw County, it's a short drive of about 40 minutes from Bay City.

Tourist will enjoy its small town atmosphere which includes a strong influence of the Bavarian settlers of this area. It's chickens dinners served at fine dining establishments are a favorite with many living near Frankenmuth. Many come early to do a little shopping in the many variety stores, gift shops and one of the fudge shops is a must for kids of all ages. The Bonners store sits on the edge of town and there you'll find Christmas on display year round and plenty of the unusual in Chirstmas decorations to fill your next Chirstmas tree.

The heritage pictures presented in this pictorial lack background history. If you know a little about one or more, or have a photo to share -- send us an email and we'll add it. (Our thanks to Cindy Hagenaue for supplying most of these photos.)
