We've been featuring a monthly history graphic on the Home page since Janauary 2003 when we started the Bay-Journal Monthly online magazine. Initially, the graphics were designed to give the Home page something new to greet visitors and a means by which to draw attention to the new magazine. A few months later we began using the graphic for featuring a specific history subject from the Heritage Library.
In December 2004, we decided to create this slideshow as an easy way to view these graphics which include a link to the issued in which they were used and the heritage page they relate to.
