The Third Street Bridge was the first to span the Saginaw river connecting Bay City and West Bay City. It was constructed from wood and opened in 1865. Streets shown in this view are Water and Saginaw streets running north-south as well as Fourth street, Fifth street and Center avenue running east-west.
